God finally answered — not with an explanation, but with a hurricane full of questions.

After thirty-five chapters of argument, God speaks — out of a whirlwind. But he doesn't explain Job's suffering. Instead, he asks questions: Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation? Can you bind the Pleiades? Does the hawk fly by your wisdom? For four chapters God parades the mysteries of creation before Job. It's not a rebuke — it's a revelation. Job has been demanding answers from a God whose operations dwarf human comprehension. Job's response: I spoke of things I did not understand. I had heard of you with my ears, but now my eyes have seen you. God rebukes the friends, restores Job's health and fortune twofold, and gives him ten more children. The book never tells Job why he suffered.
