Noah's Ark

Genesis 6:1–9:17

God started over once. He promised never to do it again.

Humanity has gone so wrong that God regrets making it. But one man — Noah — finds favor. God tells him to build an enormous boat, gives exact dimensions, and warns him what's coming. Noah builds. The neighbors presumably laugh. Then the rain starts. For forty days the world drowns. Everything outside the ark dies. When the waters finally recede and Noah steps onto dry ground, God sets a rainbow in the sky — not as decoration, but as a covenant. Never again.
