2 Chronicles 20:1-30

They sent the choir out ahead of the army — and won without fighting.

Three nations march against Judah simultaneously. King Jehoshaphat is terrified. He calls the entire nation to fast and pray. In the temple, he prays one of the most honest prayers in scripture: We have no power to face this vast army. We don't know what to do, but our eyes are on you. God answers through a prophet: The battle is not yours but God's. March out tomorrow. You will not need to fight. The next morning, Jehoshaphat does something unthinkable — he appoints singers to walk ahead of the army, praising God. As they begin to sing, God sets ambushes among the invaders. The enemies turn on each other. By the time Judah arrives, the battlefield is covered with bodies and plunder.
